Welcome to the School of Journalism
and Communication Jobs & Apprenticeships Program website

Every year, hundreds of talented students enter the work world after graduating from Carleton University’s prestigious Bachelor of Journalism, Master of Journalism and Bachelor of Communication and Media Studies programs.  Hundreds more are available for apprenticeships and part-time or full-time jobs during the academic year and the summer months.  This site brings together our highly qualified and multi-skilled students and recent graduates with employers in the fields of both journalism and communication.

In order to be eligible for the School’s Apprenticeships Program you must be a senior student enrolled in one of our Journalism degree programs.

For students enrolled in the Bachelor of Communication and Media Studies program, please contact the faculty representative or your Co-op Student Advisor (contact information on the Co-op and Career Services website) to inquire about available opportunities.

Note: The Apprenticeships website is currently being updated for the new program year. Student login will be made available once the updates are complete.

Students entering BJ3 or MJ1 years of the Journalism program will be assigned user login information (user name & temporary password) at the beginning of the fall term via your My Carleton One account. Just follow the instructions to log in.

Don’t forget to update your information and change your temporary password when you first access the site.  It is important to use your My Carleton One e-mail account, as that is the only address that will be used to send any correspondence.

If you are a current account holder (BJ4 or MJ2), your account remains valid.

If you have any difficulties with your account, please contact Cindy Kardash-Lalonde at
j-apprenticeships@carleton.ca

Kindly provide your student number.
